TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - The Short Version
TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.
His background matters. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, equities, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, the breadth is not narrow.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That would make the platform set when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for an offshore broker. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. TabTrade has no minimum.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is under Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is offshore. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
However. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. But be part of how you think about it.
The deal: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense is your call.
